Floral Letters is inspired by the messenger god Hermes, who could convey communications between the worlds of mortals, gods and the Underworld. Incredibly, its floral design is formed from an intricate collage of postcards and hand-written letters – using details within the letters, including the stamps and franking, textures in the flowers have been built up layer by layer to create a dense botanical pattern. Floral Letters is part of the Universe story of our Autumn/Winter 2023 collection - reflecting the enduring symbolic power of stories to explain the world around us, these designs capture a realm of fierce passion and drama.
