Appearing within this design as a celebration of Gaia, also known as Mother Earth, a multitude of flowers are captured in fine pencil line. Soft hatching replicates the tonal detail of marble carvings, which were so often used to depict mythological tales by ancient artists through the ages. The design is finished with washes of watercolour, to add softness and subtle colouration. Alexander Marble is part of the Classical story of our Autumn/Winter 2023 collection
