This Cotton Lawn Print features a super smooth hand, lighter and less structured than poplin; this fabric can be for button-downs, blouses, and all kinds of dresses and skirts. Charmian draws us into an infinite meadow of stylised poppies, with a seamless floral repeat. Originally hand-painted in the Liberty studio in 1966, this subtle vintage pattern is drawn with fine outlines and accents of bold, flat colour. This print is part of the Red story of our Spring/Summer 2024 collection with designs drawing from the colour’s millennia-spanning history as feature of prehistoric paintings, and one of humanity’s first symbols of love, life and vitality.
