Ikats are a woven fabric with a unique vertical pattern. The process of Ikat ('ee-kat') dyeing is intensive resist technique in which the warp and/or weft yarns are bounded and dyed prior to weaving. This technique creates the unique 'blurry' pattern which remains distinct to the ikat weaving traditions. With colors and patterns that range from subtle to striking and from traditional to modern, ikat fabric is a great way to add a fresh look to your home and to your clothing.
